Hi,

When trying to install this new instrument it is showing in Native Access but not in Kontakt.

The message is shown on the attached screenshot when I try to load the instrument from the hard drive as it does not show in Kontakt.

I am using Kontakt 7.8.1 in Big Sur, which is not compatible with 7.9.0, but the NI website shows Upright Bass is compatible with 7.1.8.

Any thoughts? I have tried the My KONTAKT 7 Browser is Empty or Incomplete ? link to no avail.

How do I get this through to Native Instruments?

Cheers

Neil

@TidandWeeJock1 There was a mistake on our website, minimum version is Kontakt 7.9. Please update Kontakt to the latest version. It has been corrected already. Sorry about this!

I cant seem to find upright bass on mine... it shows it as available and I see it in the path and on my hard rive. I am on Kontakt 7.8.1 and I dont see an option for 7.9. Please let me know. I need to have this working for a client by tomorrow.

@teachers What version of Native Access are you using? Please use the latest version, available here: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access-2/

It could be a case like OP, where he says his Big Sur is not compatible with 7.9.0.

@Jeremy_NI Is there anything NI can do about these situations happening lately? Putting out instruments that can be used only by people on the latest OSes surely is counterproductive for NI. I think a little more effort in making them work for a wider range of computers would lead to more people having the ability to buy them. And less users stumbling on issues (specially if an error on the requirements statement on the site leads to people buying products that cannot run on their devices)

@teachers Oh I see on your profile that you're on MacOS 11 too. Unfortunately, MacOs 11 is not supported anymore with Kontakt 7.9, only MacOS 12, 13 and 14. You can either update your operating system and if it's not possible ask for a refund.

@LostInFoundation Yes, you're right, it seems to be the same situation. Unfortunately we're not able to maintain more than 3 Mac operating systems at a given time with Apple releasing a new OS every year. There is definitely some improvement needed on the whole Kontakt libraries compatibility and interdependency.
