Adding any sample beyond Column 4 triggers Sample 1A

This happens in standalone or in Logic. I can load a kit or start from scratch...say a 4x8 matrix. If I load a sample in 1A, and then load a sample in ANYWHERE in columns 5-8, when that sample is played, it also plays the sample in 1A. I'm new to Battery 4 but I have looked at every setting and cannot figure out why this is happening. Thanks.

If 2 or more samples are playing at the same time with only one note, check the note range of the cells:

Make sure they have the right note number and that the range is not too big. For example here, this cell will be played from key G#0 to F#2.
