Hi, has anyone managed to successfully map a KK controller to Omnisphere?

It’s particularly the patch selection I am interested in. I would love to be able to use buttons to select banks and type and then the large rotate knob for up and down patch select.

Well yeah you could map a few params using MIDI but you could do that with any controller, what NKS gives you is the ability to map a heck of a lot more and in a plugin like Omnisphere which has potentially hundreds of params, far more than MIDI mapping could handle. Plus then you get to browse, preview and load patches from the built in screen

Browse down and browse up are available params for MIDI learn and can be mapped to the jogwheel but the result isn't good in my tests - there are so many patches organised into banks etc it's just a very inaccurate way to browse Omnisphere

Yes - the key is first mapping Omnisphere in KK and saving that as a template, then saving the patches you want to use based on that template. But there are a lot so there are already many NKS patch libraries available for Omnisphere that enable you to control and browse it from the keyboard, saving you the hard work eg

Hi, sorry I was not clear. I don’t want to be able to see all of the presets within

KK. I want to be in midi mode and just create a simple midi controller. I have made a partial template before but always have problems with preset up and down.

Hi yeah, I have paid for nos mappings for my korg legacy stuff. However paying for the Omnisphere stuff is ok for factory presets but doesn’t work great for your custom presets.

I think the issue with Omnisphere up/down selecting is that both buttons have same midi cc of 60 and trying to map a KK knob only works either up or down.

i guess I could try creat a template in Cubase remote control.

I don’t feel the midi mapping through KK is as good as it could be for stand alone midi.

i prefer the dedicated controller software but does not work for KK mk2 keyboard.

Well for your custom presets you just save your own NKS using the NKS mapping already created for the Factory ones
