How to reduce the gap between triggering zone in kontakt 7 ?

Good morning,

Please, I need help with a slight problem.

I have an accordion plugin, but there are too many octaves between the notes triggered with the left hand (bass) and the right hand (melody) on my midi keyboard. The keyboard has 61 keys, and when I shift the octaves to the left, I do not have access to all the trebles, and when I move the area to the right, I no longer have access to the low notes... If I had an 88-key keyboard, the question would be solved... Is there a way to set Kontakt7 to reduce the gap between the right and left trigger zones? I attach a visual, maybe it will be more precise.

There's a factory multiscript in Kontakt which will do exactly what you want. Click KSP button (top right corner) > preset > factory > transform > change keys. If you need to relocate more than 12 notes, open another instance in the next slot.

If you want to save the settings you must save the whole multi.

It'll affect all the instruments in your multi, so if you want to have other instruments unaffected in your multi, you can use a script which relocates a block of notes on only one channel. It's in this forum "relocating keyswitches is easy" which you can search for. It was designed for keyswitches but will work equally well with your problem.

You might be able to modify the key zones in the mapping editor by clicking the spanner icon in the instrument header. It depends on the instrument though, and whether it's enabled or not.

Are you using a DAW? If so you can probably use a MIDI plugin to remap the notes from the keyboard before it gets to the Kontakt plugin.

Out of interest, if you use that to remap keyswitches do the indicator lights showing the keyswitches on the keyboard also change? Or is that being too hopeful :)

Good thinking. I should imagine not. I guess you'd have to get into the instrument itself to do that. But though multiscripts can't do that, they do have the advantage that they will work even on locked instruments.
