S-88 Transport Section not syncing with Ableton. not even lighting up.

How do I set-up this section of the keyboard to control Ableton?

    If it's the MK3, you need to install Ableton Live 11.3.11 or higher.

    You also need to install the latest NI Hardware Connection Service via Native Access 2.

    You also need to add the S-88 as a control surface (first column) and select the correct in and out communications ports for that device. On a mk3 device, you would select EXT Channel 2 ones, not the main ones, for both input and output. I missed that at first for several months - looked right at it in the instructions and misread it every time.
