@Conjure0193 This is not planned at the moment or in the near future.
@Jeremy_NI Sorry to throw a spanner into the works - although it's not planned for the near future, Matthew has gone on record in the AMA to say this is something NI will look at in the future, but not for right now.
I'm fine with these being priorities, at least an fx version is not being ruled out, I've waited this long so am used to it. I just find the whole thing inexplicable, I mean I was very tempted to ask the Ozone AMA person what exactly the point is of even having Ozone as NKS at the moment given you can't actually use it for mastering, but I bit my tongue. There used to be some value at least when Maschine existed as a fx version, but someone decided to remove that functionality very recently, so this really isn't as simple as being a 'That was then and this is now' thing. It's just people taking illogical decisions without consulting with users or considering the impact it might have on users to remove something like that.
re: Ozone, a lot of people use it as a mix FX, like a channel-strip. Regardless, that does nothing to argue against the point that you made (and with which I agree).
I don't quite understand the point then, as this freedom is precisely what we're working to deliver.
The software will work as it does.
The keyboard may also work without any reliance on software.
The software and the keyboard may also work together, but neither is a dongle to the other.
My concern is this..
As NI develops NKS2, and the following:
Will users have on-par use of these features within KK with no keyboard attached?
Or will users need the keyboard attached and can only interact with these feature via the on-device screen and controls?
Good to hear
Even as Mix FX it’s very limited given you can only use it with one instrument rather than as an insert fx in tracks in a DAW (and you can't even automate them)
