Update from Support on Missing Samples Bug -- a 13-year-old bug

I just heard back from NI regarding the missing samples bug: "We are aware of the issue you are facing with battery 4, as it is a known bug. Our team is actively working on a solution and we expect to release a fix in the near future."

However, an internet search shows that the missing samples bug has been around since 2011! Why haven't they fixed a 13 year old bug?!?

This is frustrating and disappointing. I have spent thousands on NI products because they sound great and are good to work with, so this anomaly is very grating.

Man this has been driving me crazy and I just replied back to someone having the same problem thinking it was user error only for you to confirm my suspicion of it being a bug. Do you have any alternative plugin recommendations to replace battery with?

If support says it is actively working on a fix, then I would like to believe them. A year ago, I would not have believed them, but a lot has changed at NI in the last 6-10 months, so let's give them a chance.

But even so, my trust comes at a price. I would like to see updated info in the form of a forum post at least every 2 to 3 weeks. And please do let us know once it goes into beta testing.

The loyal Battery users deserve at least that for a 13 year old bug.
