Drumlab No-Worky, Has Never Worky'd

I've had drumlab since I bought a Maschine Mikro mk2 back in 2016, and it has never worked correctly on either my laptop or my desktop. Every DAW I've used it in, whether it's Maschine, Ableton Live (9, 10, and 11), or Cakewalk by Bandlab tends to crash when I try to open the project file up. This behavior has been consistent the entire 6 years I've had Drumlab, across all VST hosts and both of my computers. My laptop's a thinkpad with Windows 10, an i5 and 8GB RAM. My Desktop is a lenovo with an AMD Ryzen 5 and 16GB ram, also running Windows 10.

How do we solve this? None of my other Kontakt instruments are rude to me. What have I done to offend Drumlab?!

As far as crashes go, any error messages reviewed or indicator of What went wrong?

could you put together a step by step scenario that we could follow to see if the issue can be replicated (very important, so just saying “it happens no matter what I do” is not sufficient). Best we can do is try to replicate, but you must provide as much detail as possible including Audio interface, any special Kontakt output routing, Daw routing etc…

Do you have a cat? Drumlab hates cats. 🐅

I don't think I've encountered any error messages, my DAWs/Hosts usually just crash when loading an instance of drumlab after closing & reopening a session. I'll try run some tests on a dummy project at some point to see if I can figure out anything else.

Update: It worky's. Kontakt ensembles are still a bit resource intensive and make my projects take a little extra time to load, but I've been working on a track with Drumlab this month and haven't run into any crashes or had my project files corrupted. I've only tested this in Maschine, so I am not sure how nicely Drumlab will play with Ableton, but it's good enough for me so far. :)

My Drum Lab has also never worked. How can I fix this?
