Hi. I have just got Ultimate 14 and am seeking to get either a mk2 or mk3 s88 keyboard.

How well does either work in Reason 12 in regards all its features functioning in both the daw and Komplete kontrol?

Thanks, Dan

Hey @Rectro33 There is no host integration for Reason with our keyboards, mk2 or Mk3. You can still use the keyboard in conjunction with the Komplete Kontrol plug-in in any DAW.

Or use MCU mode - that works for transport control

As long as I can use it to use all its functions within Komplete Kontrol plugin its all good. As far as Im aware and please correct me if I'm wrong but a software integration would only really mean transport control anyway wouldn't it? I have a Nektor P6 which suppose to have plugin integration, it realy dont work outside the plugins within Reason, but has good host integration. Im thinking of getting a Nektar P1 to replace my p6 and a mk3 s88 keyboard as now most of my instruments are now NI plugins.

The deeper integration with supported DAWS is more than just transport control, you also get an on keyboard screen visualisation of mixer channels and mixer controls

If you are fine with just transport plus loop, mute/solo and metronome MCU mode can give you those already in most DAWS including Reason

Thank you, and thanks to all replies. I also use Studio One 5.
