Cubase Expression Maps don't work correctly when using Kontakt7 in Komplete Kontrol 3.1

The expression maps (babylonwaves) are always switched to the correct articulation after a delay of one note. Does anyone know this problem? I had this problem before with "Komplete Kontrol 2.x". With some update of KK2.x it was fixed. If I load KONTAKT 7 directly as a VST, the expression maps switch correctly. Does anyone know this problem?

Hello,

that's an issue as far as I know in some cases, you can set the note for switching the expression a bit too early, or use the table view/ event list and set the notes there as first note in the row. I don't use it often but I simply select the switch notes and shift them to the left. But I will also make a test tomorrow, as I'm also a cubase user, 12 pro in my case.

I use the "Attributes" option for switching articulations. Unfortunately your suggestion doesn't work here. In "Attributes", the articulation-change is firmly linked to the played note. You cannot place the change in advance with this procedure.

For me, attributes are simply clearer and easier to use. Here is an example screenshot:

Now there was another update for "Komplete Kontrol 3" + "Kontakt 7" (KK crahs frequently under Windows 10/11 when open/close his window). Maybe the keyswitch problem has now been resolved? We will see.

In the meantime, out of desperation, I tested your suggestion and that doesn't work either: F#0 should actually activate the articulation "Trill Tongued" for the notes A3 + A2, but it doesn't switch. The notes are played as a "swell" (E0 articulation). This doesn't even work correctly with an NI instrument.

For information: Without Komplete Kontrol 3.1.1 (if you load Kontakt 7 directly as the VST in the track) the articulations switch correctly (in both modes: attribute + direction). Please please please NI: Fix this problem. Otherwise I'll collapse … 🤢 ☠️😭

I tried a bit and strangely it doesn't work anymore for me and I know it has worked before. I will investigate a bit further, it only works if i, as I said, nudge the trigger notes a bit to the left.

I have this issue too when using attribute expression maps in Cubase 13 Pro. Really frustrating as it means that I can't use my S88 Mk2 to show the instrument as I have to run everything in Kontakt 7, rather than Komplete Kontrol! Does anyone know if NI have acknowledged that there is an issue and that there will be a fix for it?
