New software instrument track in Logic Pro launches Komplete Kontrol

I am a COMPLETE NOVICE with Logic Pro and Native Instruments - Komplete Kontrol and my A25 keyboard.

I have recently installed Native Access, and a few of the libraries. Kontact 7

Now, when I add a new software instrument track to a project, it always launches Komplete Kontrol and if I close it and then attempt to choose Guitar - Acoustic Guitar from the default library, I receive an error - The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -50.)

I am completely baffled at how to use libraries from Logic Pro again.

Is there a setting somewhere in Logic Pro that will prevent the launch of Komplete Kontrol when creating a new software instrument?

@jkpalmer When Logic opens, choose Empty Project

Then choose "Empty Channel Strip"

Yes, when you start Logic and it gives you selection of track types, KK is listed in the software instrument start. Deselect it , change it to none. That way when you select a software instrument track , it comes up blank and you can add an instrument of your choice.

I have searched Logic Settings and can’t find where the software instrument start is located.

Please identify how to find this setting.

Is there a way to disable the startup of Komplete Kontrol when adding a new track to an existing project in Logic Pro?

It will load whatever you last loaded unless you change it to something else or nothing in the startup screen

Or setup Logic as you want and save this as a Template and then set it to start with that template.
