Is there any difference in functionality. Both seem to open instruments, and as I do not have a keyboard, is one better than the other to use? Does one usually have less bugs / issues?
Kontakt will only open instruments made specifically for Kontakt. Komplete Kontrol will open those too (by loading Kontakt), but also other plugins from NI (Massive, FM8, Reaktor, etc.) and from other vendors (Uhe, Arturia, etc.).
Also, I am not sure if Kontakt has prehear of patches and searching filters and so on Komplete Kontrol has it.
Using Komplete Kontrol on the other side has slight overhead on CPU.
Anyone else able to add anything? Thanks
Kontakt 7 does also have previews, the main difference is just that Kontakt opens Kontakt libraries, Komplete Kontrol opens any plugin
