Can't hear Kontakt sounds from my keyboard

Some time since I last used sounds in Kontakt . I load a patch set it to Port A midi channel 1 . Set Logic channel strip to Midi 1 No sound from keyboard . Hitting a key doesn't register in rectangular window top right of Kontakt window but does register in logic beats display
