Do you have your keyboard routed to the Kontakt instrument track itself? It looks like you do on track 1 where it says "I 3-Focusrite". Try changing that to "None", that way the only input to the instrument is from the MIDI tracks. Then when you click "Strings" on track 2 or "Choir" on track 3 the little orange icon that looks like WiFi but isn't should light up only on that track and it should play only the sound you want. Give that a go :)

Ok, tried this, Orange Icon lights up and moves to selected track but still no sound on Channel 2.

Think I'm going to go for a fresh Install.

    I,ll post if it works.

    Many thanks Mike,

    Hi Mike

I've re installed Kontact and it now works.

On my earlier projects I didn't need to have on display a Midi track and an Audio track (for showing the channel fader volumes but now I cannot select a different sound without selecting the Midi track (so that the orange Icon shows). I suppose thats logical. Is there a way to combine the two?

Here's a snip of the project test.

    Thanks.

There might be a way to combine the two, but I don't know Cakewalk well enough to know how as I normally use Cubase. If I'm using multiple instruments in one instance Kontakt I usually have separate MIDI tracks as it makes it clearer to me what's going where.

That's how I did it in the end. Midi track plus an audio track. Works a treat now.
