I am used to working w GR5 and I attempted the same thing. I load a pre recorded backup into the pre tape recorder (at input) and attempt to record this while it is playing on the post tape recorder hitting play and record.
When I attempting to do this same procedure on GR7 and I get an error on the post tape recorder stating "no file is loaded"
I have read though the manual and it seems to state the same thing I tried, or am I reading it wrong? I am hoping someone who uses the recording function to record prerecorded jams to along with their own playing chimes in. I am loving the sounds on GR7 and cant wait to dig in and experiment.
