Kontakt Quick-Load: Are they cross platform?

I am running Kontakt on a Windows machine. I am considering switching back to Mac at some point. Would my Kontakt Quick-loads be transferrable? They are basically all there in Windows Explorer as .nki file shortcuts/symbolic links. If I were to keep the folder structure the same when I transfer to Mac, would these Quick-loads be transferable? Or would they just point to the old files on the Windows machine?
I would like to organize my samples but it doesn't make sense to do so if I buy a Mac Studio later this year.

They're not at all compatible, QL uses shortcuts on Windows and aliases on Mac. They're not the same thing at all.
