Esteemed fellow creators,

I have just bought Guitar Rig 7, never having used it before, but am still unable to explore it due to instant CPU overload in Logic Pro X. It's most likely my end, but I'd really appreciate any guidance on how I might improve things.

Mac Book Pro 2019

2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

Ventura 13.6

In gratitude.

    Hi, I cannot really provider an answer or useful hint, just my experience. I also just bought GR7 about 2 weeks ago. I use it in Studio One 6 and I don't have this problem. Also not in standalone mode. My hardware is a iMac 2020, 3.3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5 and I run Sonoma 14.0 already. CPU load from the plug-in is mainly under 15%.

    Its your computer dude. Theres nothing your really going to be able to do to improve with the i5. Im surprised you dont have problems running other plug ins. I have an i9 and 2 or 3 instances of GR6 shoots up my CPU to 25%. I havent even paid attention to what 7 does. Just bought it yesterday.

    It's indeed quite normal your CPU overloads, I had the same issue with my previous Macbook. A few music programs opened in parallel and the machine went loco.

    @Mattski

    You may try to increase the audio buffer.... But you will get higher latency. But your computer is pretty weak, so it might need real big buffer....

    Also, close all programs not needed. Web browser may bite quite a lot of CPU power. At least on Win...
