Is there a way to change the colour of Kontakt libraries preset browser background on the right sided screen on the S61 MK2 as the screen is washed out and some of the text is unreadable unless it is a darker colour background . I can do this for external plugins like u-he diva via the color.json files located in NI Resources but just wondering if I can change native Kontakt library and 3rd party color.json. Thanks :)

Im using Mac

I had a dig around and found the database files for colour in application support/native instruments but they are not .json files, they appear to be sqlite database entries - color.db - so might be harder to edit. There is an open source sqlite editor here but I have not dared mess with this yet so use at your own risk and backup first

some third party Kontakt libraries may still use json though

OK looks like it might be feasible, but be prepared for the possibility a library update may revert what you have changed, especially for content delivered via Native Access. So keep backups

Thanks so much for the speedy reply! Really appreciate it.

I’ve tried changing all color.db files I could find for a few the specific libraries I’d like to change but nothing seems to be happening. I’ve tried it on v3.0.0 and 2.9.4

are they located in the hidden library folder or the unhidden library folder?

    thanks again

On Mac they are in library/application support/native instruments - but third party content will be elsewhere, depends on what you have
