Is it possible to roll back from Komplete Kontrol 3.0 to 2.9.4?

Sadly (for me), Komplete Kontrol 3.0 has pretty much ruined my current projects (ie. I can no longer work on them due to CPU spikes, crashes, slow response etc.
Having tried to delete 3.0 and revert back to 2.9.4, I can no longer load plugins in the standalone app. Is there any way of rolling back or am I now stuck with an unworkable 3.0 version?

2.9.6 is the latest version

@mattse whatever version you install, you'd need to ensure you open the standalone and rescan your plug-ins

Why, specifically?

Oh no I accidently updated to KK 3.0 again and I was horrified. Phew what a relief it was to find the roll back. I couldn't get anything to load and show the GUI. I could not work on any of my old songs. What on earth is this nonsense? For example I use fabulous third party Lunaris 2 for pads. Ok it loaded and I have a list of presets but where is the GUI to tweek or animate the sound? I can now only use the stock presets??
Didn't anyone actually test this release??? I think this ends my use of NI products after spending quite a lot of money. KK 2.9.6 was klunky and slow but I could at least wrestle it into doing some of what I wanted and I have quite a few songs that unfortunately use it but I think this is the final straw…………😱
