I see the S61 MK3 comes with (USB-C) connectors. My DAW only provides (USB-A) 3.0. Will using a USB-A to USB-C cable be an issue for me?

Great question!
The Kontrol S MK3 has two USB-C ports on the back.
Port 1) For bus power and data
Port 2) For auxiliary power
USB-A to USB-C connections will have no problem with the data connection, but they won't be able to transmit the necessary power to run the keyboard.
So in this situation, you'd have Port 1 connected to your computer USB-C to USB-A and Port 2 would need to be connected to a standard USB-C charger, such as one you may use with a smartphone.
