Thanks for confirming - we can rule that out then which is good ๐Ÿ‘

    Hi Tim,

Same for me.... "only load playback plug-ins needed..." is set to 'On' for all of my projects.

I didn't play with this toggle when I had KK 3.0 installed. However since all of the projects I tested had many tracks with instances of KK, and they would all be required for playback, I don't think it would have made a difference in my case. But certainly worth a look.

    Same problems here:

    Overloads, sync errors.

All projects of the last month have this problems.

Only change was the update KK 2.9 to 3.0

Went back to 2.9 all working fine now.

Defently KK 3.0 cause this problems

    Mac Studio 64 Gb

    All SSD drives

    Logic 10.7.9

    Ventura 3.5.1

    sample rate 1040

Anyone on Sonoma having this problem? I believe Sonoma is much better at load balancing and in particular on M series chipsets, ensuring performance cores are being used more effectively for high priority processes such as audio, rather than efficiency cores.

On Sonoma here. Same issue. I disable Komplete Kontrol 3.0 and problem is gone. Should have waited to upgrade.

Similar problem here, with Cubase & KK 3.0 on a Mac Studio M2 Ultra, seeing spikes and an almost doubling of CPU usage, according to Cubase's own meters.

Back from vacation and happy to share that a fix has been identified for both Komplete Kontrol 3 and Kontakt 7.

We hope to ship the Komplete Kontrol update this week and Kontakt next week.

Thank you agin to everyone who has supported with narrowing down this issue.

Hey @Tim_NI - welcome back and thanks for the update. Are you able to share any more details about what is causing the issue / where it stems from?

I'll probably wait for others to update and report back before I take the plunge with updating again. KK and Kontakt are both critical parts of my production process, so any spikes / slow load issues are just a no-go for me (as they no doubt are for others too).

Thank you! The issue is in the weeds of the API that handles communication between plug-ins, hardware, etc (even when hardware is not connected).

The team is confident in the fix and it is in beta already (I believe for both KK and K7). I totally hear you re: the need to avoid spikes / slow loading.

@Tim_NI Thanks for the update and continued support? Is the 3.0.1 update the one that contains these fixes?

No that was already out so I presume it will be the next one

Correct - it is in 3.0.2 which is coming very soon.

Komplete Kontrol 3.0.2 was released a few moments ago and includes the fix for the CPU spikes. The Kontakt release is expected to follow next week as planned.

A heartfelt thank you once again for helping us to debug and fix these issues!

    Minimum OS requirements:

    - MacOS 12, 13.

    - Windows 10 (latest Service Pack), Windows 11.

NOTE: VST2 is removed when installing on Windows. If you wish to keep the VST2, please copy the plug-in and move it back to your plug-in folder after installing Komplete Kontrol 3. All users should stop using the VST2, as it will be phased out in the coming months.

Great - fixes some stuff I reported too

Can you please stop the KK install deleting and replacing the reaktor image thumbnail folder every time it is run though? I have lots of custom images in that folder and it keeps replacing it with the bog standard ones (luckily I back it up regularly). This is a user location so NI installers should not be treating it like factory content
