How to fix pops and clicks when using VST in Kontakt player 7?
Hi there,
I need some help to figure out how to fix an issue I'm having after installing Time Micro in Kontakt player 7. I installed it on an SSD and got a iMac 3,6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9 and 32 GB ram.
When I play sustained notes I hear pops and clicks. The transitions between dynamic layers is not smooth as it should be when I play around with the mod wheel. And when I change between chords, some of the notes doesn't play from one to the other.
I have increased the buffer size and the Hz to 48000. I tried purge all samples. The issue is still there.
Hope someone can help.
Best,
Alexander

Have you tried to increase the buffer size within kontakt settings?

Yeah I’ve tried that too, but still doesn’t fix it

@AlexanderB What is the format of the SSD? On Mac it should be APFS, other formats and especially ExFat can cause big performance issues: Notes on Hard Drive Formats on Mac Computers

Thanks for the answer. The SSD is APFS and I just installed Kontakt 7 on it as well and the newest factory library which works perfectly fine.
I’ve enabled full disc access too and performance.
it’s really weird because it’s only time micro I got problems with

@AlexanderB We strongly recommend to install applications in the application folder on a Mac, try reinstalling Kontakt 7 to the default location: Macintosh HD/Applications/Native Instruments.
Let us know if the issue persists after that.
