What happened to Rig Kontrol 3 and is there a suggested alternative?

I am new to GR and bought Pro 7 as my entry point.

Is there a pedal recommendation to control the looper?

Also, playing around with this setup. I recorded a track in Logic but the looper output did not get recorded. How come?? I guess I am making a schoolboy error, and would appreciate help please.

I'm using an Xsonic Airstep which works excellent together with Guitar Rig. Via MIDI learn you can assign the buttons you want to record/play/overdub.

I didn't check the looper recording yet in my DAW.
