Key of Samples in Battery 4 Kit
Hi there,
I own quite a lot of sample packs and wanted to play around with the "SafeHouse Kit" but one thing I cam across is, that I can't find anywhere the key the samples are in. Neither the description nor the sample itself contains an info.
How am I supposed to tune the samples correctly or at least find the key so I can adapter the project key?

It is actually acts as a sampler so you can give any key you want.... on main page "key range", assign any key (or, range of keys) which sounds compatible...
If you insist to find the "original key", well, while your sample is playing, open a synth and play few notes until you find the correct... then, rename the sample and add the keynote after its name, so you can remember it in the future...

Hey Sunborn,
thanks for your input - but in case of a guitar solo etc. it's pretty hard to determine the key.
Of course I have already used samples via key track feature but just because a guitar solo is on key range G#1 doesn't mean it just contains this sound, it must be performed in some key and this is hard to impossible to find out in my opinion.

Impossible? Not at all, at least not if you are familiar with music theory or you have spend a decade (or more) on studios. For me it is really simple (nearly automatic) to recognize a key, yet i understand it is not easy for everyone.
So, simple solution! Import those samples on Traktor (or any DJ program), even a demo will do it, then analyze them and you will have your keys ;-)
or make a youtube video (or audio on soundcloud etc), record your samples there, and i will tell you which one is their key.
