Update Horizontal LED Strip on Komplete Kontrol S88 Mk2

So I know that my daw can send values to my midi controllers to update certain things. For example, the top 8 white buttons light up when their equivalent is pressed in my DAW. However, I can't find a way for my DAW to update the position of the horizontal LED touch strip on the keyboard.

Is there a specific channel I need to send the value to or something?

Is the touch strip assigned to something?

Yup I set it to Ctrl 14 in the komplete kontrol software and mapped it to a fader in MainStage. I have assigned it to the cutoff of my synth in two consecutive patches.

Changing the MainStage face on screen does nothing.

Also changing between those two patches does not update the status.
