There are literally still buttons labelled 'yes' and 'no' in Kontakt 7. That's basically the very first thing you learn not to do when you start designing user interfaces. Button labels are supposed to be descriptive - like 'save' - so you don't have to read through the dialog of the window, you can see right away what an action does.

The file management in the browser is bizarre. Look at any of the U-He synths, to see how it can be done. Both in terms of navigation and tagging.

I found the best way to work in any organised fashion is to completely ignore any internal file management in Kontakt, and use the Finder instead, with an organised folder structure, Finder tags, and Smart Folders.

Things like Column View have been around for decades, adopting things like that is not difficult.

I really like how powerful and flexible Kontakt is, but the UI is a mess. No consistency. Switch between the new browser view and the traditional Library+Instrument view, and the window resizing behaviour changes.

Compare the UI zoom - when you zoom in, all images are pixellated (no vector graphics), some fonts are sharp, some blurry, literally side by side - compare that to the UI zoom in Digital Performer - or any recent Mac app. Information on how to do this right has been available for developers for many years.
