How to manually add CC controls for X/Y parameters in Kontakt?

I want to be able to add CC numbers to parameters.

"Drag to knob or fader" is useless for X/Y parameters.

I have an external MIDI XY pad and it can send CC on X/Y/Z(pressure), but while I can see CC activity in this screen, I can't drag and drop it to the X or Y side of these controls.

Is there a way I can just go to "not assigned" and set it to X Mix, Y Intensity like in Host Automation?

    You can assign CCs in this section and MIDI learn CC for x and y by clicking on the MIDI logo:

    Oh my. How did I miss that?

    Sorry, I got Ultimate 13 Collector's Edition a few months ago and I still feel like I've barely scratched the surface.
