I just acquired an A&H Xone 96 mixer and encountered hardware issues (high load, lags, audio dropouts, up to freezes) with my Macbook Air 2019 1,6GHz i5 and the current version of Traktor after like 30mins into the mix. Do I need a better MacBook for this?

What audio settings are you using?

I use the max quality 32/96 and tried out different buffer sizes, but encountered difficulties even with higher buffers.

For example, a 512 buffer size should work, I think, but didn't. Even 1024 didn't.

    Initial buffer was 256

I use the max quality 32/96

Have you tried lowering that setting?

Try 512 samples and 48 kHz

Ok, thanks a lot, will try out! But not using the full 96kHz audio quality is a pity, of course...

Well lets see if that works. For now it's for debugging purposes.

Do you files benefit from 96 kHz?

Thanks, and that is a very valid question. So far, I'd say not necessarily, but it's kind of a hen-and-egg situation.
