Traktor KontrolS2-MK1 with MacOS is it dead ?

Hy guys
I would like to know
I just inherited a Traktor Kontrol S2-MK1 controller, but I can't plug it / synchronize it with my computer,
The "USB light" is on without blinking, but then I can't assign anything else
I even tried it on two different computers:
The newest is an Apple M1 Max on MacOS 13.2
The second is Mac Intel Core i7 on a version 12.6, Purchased in 2015
Can this controller still work, or is it definitely too old for my machines?

Yes, most of the mk1 hardware need either Windows or an older version of macOS.
