    Yeah for me the main reason to make NKS templates is so I can control and work with plugins like hardware. Also the whole process of breaking down a synth into functional pages is a great way to get to know how a synth works and what the priorities are for sound shaping. This is usually the first thing I do when I get a new synth as it puts me in the right place to begin to play with it and from that, if I click with it, my own presets just tend to emerge.

    For me the main reason to save NKS patches is when a synth does come with some really good ones too that I want to favourite but it’s hard work to save all patches to NKS one by one when there’s so many I would never use.

    Hi

    It seems that the latest links for Fabfilter fx (Saturn 2, Timeless 3 and Volcano 3) are broken. Can anyone re-send them please?

    Just go into the user library in my sig and you will find the folders on Dropbox - I made the whole library open for browsing and download

    Is it possible to make NKS presets for hardware synths? I’ve recently purchased a Modal Cobalt 8 that can also work with the Modal App VST

    Yes you should be able to when the hardware has a software controller that is a plugin. I made one for the Virus Ti years ago

    This is the first in a series for Plugin Alliance VST3 FX. These all have an annoying problem in Komplete Kontrol and Maschine in that they all rely on the host to load their presets - but for the VST3 versions the presets don't show because neither Maschine or Komplete Kontrol can load VST3 presets. However I worked out I can transfer them from the VST2 to VST3 versions then save them with a new VST3 template. It works for all that migrate (the Lindell ones don't seem to but they don't have lots of presets anyway). This contains different versions for VST2 and VST3 so use the one you need:

    Thanks for the Black Box HG NKS. Presets work for me, but params are blank. Possibly as I have vst2 and vst3 installed for most plugins, as a couple older apps still don't support v3.

    Yes sorry that will happen if KK is loading the VST2 by default - like I said this is strictly VST3 only. On Apple Silicon this isn't an issue as you only have VST3 available in native mode but on Windows or Intel Mac (or Rosetta) you need to force it to load the VST3 by not having the VST2 as NKS still defaults to VST2. The only options would be to make a VST2 only version using Maschine to load the presets or just go with VST3 for this plugin.

    Very good news (Kymeia) your preset for UADx Instruments works on windows now, don't know why but perharps the last UAD update (Hardware) correct something..... very happy to have Opal/PolyMax/Waterfall and the (only) Minimoog.

    Hi all. Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this question but does anyone know if the Arturia FX collection is NKS ready on Apple Silicon running Logic Pro? My V collection works fine but the FX collection does not. Many thanks!
