Kontakt 7 Thumbnails are gone in new browser after moving content to an external drive

I reached out to Native Instruments twice over the last few weeks but have heard nothing. I have reinstalled the app and I have tried this suggested fix: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/7228347290909-Thumbnail-Picture-Icons-are-Missing-in-the-KONTAKT-7-Browser?_ga=2.2966320.182041154.1678468556-1079432533.1677700296&_gac=1.257011449.1677701229.CjwKCAiAjPyfBhBMEiwAB2CCIgN0qHwuJ3DoQUULreryqaaAiRUCwCrbLsTYg-23P7KJV2JSqMe0fxoC9ckQAvD_BwE

Native Access "sees" all of my content. The older browser within Kontakt 7 works fine. It "sees" and loads all content. It is the new one which has me vexed. Thank you in anticipation of a fix. Mac OS 12.6

One of my colleagues should get back to you soon, in the meantime, we can check a couple of things.

How did you move the files? Did you follow these steps? Moving a Native Instruments Product to Another Location on Your Computer

Do Kontakt and Native Access have Full DIsk Access? How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS Also add the NtkDaemon found here:

    - Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > NTK > NTKDaemon

Repeat the steps in the article: Thumbnail Picture Icons are Missing in the KONTAKT 7 Browser

Especially this part, it resets the database for the new browser:

    1. Go in the Finder menu bar while holding down the option / alt key on the computer keyboard. Choose the Library entry that appears in the drop-down menu.
    1. In the user Library folder, navigate to the following location:
    2. Application Support > Native Instruments
    3. Locate the Kontakt 7 folder and move it to the trash.

Make sure you go to the user library by following step 1, there is also an Application Support/Kontakt 7 folder in the local library but deleting it would have no effect on the issue.

Thank you Jeremy! I am traveling today but will revisit tonight.

I believe I followed all of these steps last week. I will double check later. I moved all content from 1 external to another. Native Access 2 sees them in their new location. Also, I can load all content from the new location into Kontakt 7 from the original (older) browser

    Thanks,

    Nico

Thank you for the suggestions. I followed your advice. I have many instruments both by Native Instruments and also 3rd party ones. Both Native Access 2 and the older, original Kontakt 7 browser are properly linked to all content. The new Kontakt 7 browser looks the same as the picture above. There is no way to delete those thumbnails. They do not show up when I click on the gear on the lower left.

I thought this could be resolved today. I’ve been contacted a few times over the last couple of weeks from NI in Berlin to deal with this issue. We finally set up and confirmed a date for a remote session for today. That was supposed to happen two hours ago. I’ve heard nothing.

I still have the same issue, unresolved since March.

For some reason, my original post read "resolved."

    It has not been.

Thank you for your attention to this.
