in Komplete General

Komplete 14 collectors edition is billed as being 1Tb . yet i cant even fit it all on a brand new 2Tb drive, why?

    Hello,

    2TB is a bit over 1,125 TB native claims, have you maybe set the download folder to the drive, then try to clean it.

    That’s what I’m trying next .. setting the download location to an external drive.

    1.125 TB takes more disk space than 1.1 TB, mainly if it consists of many small files.... Also 2 TB disc is way smaller than 2 TB (there are two ways to compute disk space, one based on power of 1024 and other on power of 1000). And for installation one needs also space for download file and probably even a bit more... And, K14UCE is 1.1 TB compressed, but over 1.5 TB uncompressed.

    So, it may happen, it hardly fits to 2 TB disc, if one does install all. Try install big Kontakt libraries first. And than the rest. If not much space, the best is to install the smallest pieces last.

    @Ken Berquist How do you see it won't fit? Do you get an error message from Native Access ? Have you hit the install all button? In this case Native Access will calculate the space needed for the files themselves plus the size of the installers. In this case it's better to install in smaller chunks.
