Missing mia.lib?

I'm trying to install the new native access application to update from the older one. When I go to install or even uninstall native access my windows 10 PC tells me it isn't able to because it's missing 'mia.lib'? Does anyone else have this issue and we're able to resolve it? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I finally found the solution for me!

I have avast antivirus, I just suspended it during 10 minutes, and retried installation after having removed every trace of NA on my computer and:IT WORKS!

Hope it will do the job on your computer as well.

Well. 6 hours of research and I couldn't find a working solution anywhere.

I finally tried a desperate method, which was the solution to the mia.lib problem.

I Have Win10 and I installed Native Access 1 Legacy Installer for windows 7/8

    Native Access version 1.14.1

    you can find it here:

    https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000407909-Native-Access-1-Legacy-Installers-for-Older-Operating-Systems

The installation brought back all the missing files,

after this, the Native access 2 installation was successful.

Hi Zack, I have the same issue and I'm stuck.. at the beginning I tried to update NA (Native Access) to second version and it told me "missing mia.lib". So I tried to uninstall NA 1 that I have on my PC but tells me the same message. Then I tried to run the famous "NI Uninstall RegTool_64bit" and remove NA from it, then I deleted manually the "programme/NI/NA" folder to reinstall NA2 from scratch but it still pops "missing mia.lib".

Then I updated every soft and every driver on my computer and restarted it, but it sill does not work.

Finally I tried to uninstall it from a third party soft which is Ccleaner but it does not even respond when I click "uninstall" button in it on NA

Please if someone can help I would appreciate too, cause for now I can't work.

You can find the regtool here: NI Uninstall RegTool_64bit.zip

Deactivate your antivirus for installation, as @cooc said.

And @cooc I would recommend to get rid of CCleaner, it can create a lot of damage: Notes on Using Registry or Property List Cleaning Utilities

    Thx Jussi

Re-install old NA version (1.14.1), then the new one (2.x) makes it work

    1. I had this same problem with Native-Access _2.exe I only wanted to install it because the existing installation couldn't update, insisting that I wasn't connectged to the internet. I tried installing got this error. Went to maunally uninstall the older version, got the same error message! Stuck in a loop. Found this thread.
    2. Tried NI uninstall reg tool and the same error came up on subsequent install attempt.
    3. Finally downloaded the legacy install tool and it all worked straight away.

Only 60 minutes spent working around NI's permanent inability to create a tool that works all the time. Thanks @Jussi Huhtala

What worked for me is downloading the old version which installed fine:

You can find it under support.native-instrumnets .com

Go to article 4748946468497 How to downgrade Native Access 2 to Native Access 1

Then I downloaded version 2 which installed fine as well.

It took me about 30 min to figure out based on all the other threads. Thanks to those who posted before me!

I'm so envious to read that simple solutions identified by other Forum members actually work. I have the same mia.lib deficiency resulting in being unable to unistall anything and, as yet, nothing has worked for me!

@keefycal Well, then you would need to contact my colleagues here: http://bit.ly/NIsupport_install

But I see that you have an issue already with one of our services (nihostintegration if I'm correct), I'm wondering if the source could be similar. My colleague mentioned a program called Tune up on your system, and as you can see in this thread this article has been shared already: Notes on Using Registry or Property List Cleaning Utilities

So if this last advice from my colleague is not successful, please mention it when contacting the Native Access specialists.
