m4a support on traktor 3.6? and Windows 11

Seems I am having a problem with the iTunes m4a format on Traktor. What I notice is 2 things: 1 the track starts visualy with a blue spike, this one is audible 2. Then later in the track distortion appears in the for of (random) clicks. Any one for a solution to this? There is no difference in (not) using a controller. As far as In can deduct it is software related.

I confirm. Other formats play well. I'll say more. If the m4a format is converted to another format, for example, to wav, then this file will play normally. So it's definitely in the m4a format. And the problem starts with this assembly of Windows...

Checked older iTunes songs (years old....), same problem. So I guess it is not AAC/ALAC related but Win11-Traktor 3.6.1.326 combination. Down grading (following the NI instructions does not work, same problem.

I have this issue as well and can confirm the previous posters!

I noticed this issue after updating to Windows 11 22H2.

M4A files are not decoded correctly by Traktor.

Problem happens with Traktor 3.6.2 as well as 3.5.3. I have not tested other versions.

    Windows 11 Home, Version 10.0.22621

NOTE: Converting the M4A file to MP3, Traktor works correctly. See the difference in waveforms as displayed in Traktor. File on left is M4A and corrupt sections are easily seen when compared to the MP3 version on the right.

This workaround is inconvenient at best.

Judging by the number of negative reviews in this forum, the "native" company does not bother much with the technical component. And there has always been a large number of negative reviews. But now we have a paid subscription ...

@DJ Raena Hope you lagged a ticket at the support desk, so they are aware and can see the magnitude of this issue. Good shots!
