Guitar Rig 6 Search Function

Hopefully this is an easy fix.

When I click in the Search Field to activate it I am unable to type anything in the search field.

The focus stays in the DAW so unfortunately the DAW responds.

I made sure the Guitar Rig 6 header is also selected so it should be in focus to respond to what I'm typing, but it's not.

v6.2.4 (R3)

The button is at the top of the Plugin Instance/UI window, not the Plugin Browser… it is a per plugin option, not a global preference. I have 2022.06 and it works no problem…

The DAW most likely is taking control of Keystrokes (for key-shortcuts). Which DAW? Some have an option that allow Keystrokes to be routed to plugins when the plugin window is active…

    I'm using Cakewalk from Bandlab.

With Cakewalk running, in any other app I'm able to type in that app just fine.

Tested more. So yes, several keys are bound to functions in Cakewalk.

So when I type one of those keys, Cakewalk responds.

Makes sense. But this only happens with Guitar Rig 6.

If I open MS Word and type a G (which is bound to a function in CW), a G appears in Word.

in Cakewalk at the top of the plugin window there is a button that sends all keystrokes to Plugin...to the left of the pin.

FWIW; Cakewalk has had an issue passing keystrokes to GR5 & GR6 for a long time while most other NI instruments/EFX have no issues. When editing in GR... always click as @Blindeddie has stated.

Apparently there used to be a button that sends all keystrokes to Plugin.

But I'm not seeing it on the current version. 2022.06

A few other have contacted Bandlab about this so will add me name to the list.

    Thanks.
