Maschine software empty

so I have my sound packs and stuff on an external hard drive that I connect to my Mac with a usb-c. when I open up the hard drive on my dashboard all the stuff is there , but when I open it in Maschine nothing is there. anyone know why or how to fix this ?

    @mindless if the external drive you refer to is the Komplete collection supplied by Native Instruments, you can't run the "packs and stuff" directly from that drive. They have to be installed first.

    you don't show the contents of the "sample pack and drums kits" folder which is the opened folder you have selected in Maschine. The files browser will only show supported file types (for example, .wav, .mid, .rx2 and any Maschine related extensions) but not all files. So if that location does not have any files with those extensions, they will not show.

    Yeah I see what you are saying but it’s worked since I started. Then one day everything just stopped showing up

    well post a screenshot of the contents of that folder or another folder that should be showing...

    What format is your external hard drive? We recommend APFS formatted drives on Mac, as explained here: Notes on Hard Drive Formats on Mac Computers
