Sorry if it has been already answered but i cant see that information anywhere.

i try to register my voice with a simple microphone and want to use the mic in on the maschine mk3. (i use the line out)

i have tried the mic on my windows machine it works fine.

I connected the micro on the mic entry .... nothing

I tried the line in Left .. nothing

same for the lin in right ...

It looks so simple but still refuse to record.

the video wich is referenced does not show the mic connected to the mk3.

so can anyone show the physical setup , maschine setup , sampling setup

Thank you

    A simple lapel microphone.

Tell me wich one you are using if you connect it directly to the mk3

You would use the microphone input on the back of the controller

Did you turn up the Mic in Gain? What is the brand of the Microphone, if no brand, can you post a pic?

Are you sure you are using the mic input instead of the line inputs when recording?

Yes. The mic input. I posted a photo.

it May be due to the poor mic i try to use.

Are you using Maschine standalone or in a DAW?

If you're trying to record on the Maschine standalone, select a pad go to sampling. Enable input monitoring so you can hear yourself (on headphones, turn off the speakers so you don't get feedback), and adjust the gain. Or, go to the pad input settings, and turn on the monitoring there

I mean in the Maschine software. You need to select the mic input for recording.

The mic does not show. I see only line in mono stéréo or internal. None of this works

There is no "Mic" selection for input, both "Ext Stereo" (in 1 L + R) and "Ext Mono" (in 1 L "or" R) should work with the mic input (tested it) I am starting to think it is a problem with the Mic or the adapter 1/8 to 1/4 that is being used. @jms can you post a photo of the mic unplugged from the controller as well as the adapter unplugged from the mic way be as simple as the wrong adapter...maybe!!!

Well in theory it should work, but since it is not working with that adapter configuration, either 2 things could be wrong... The Mic itself is bad, (have you tested the mic on something else to see if it is working?) or there may be a short in the adapter that is causing an issue. What you need is a 1/8 (3.5mm) female TS to 1/4 (6.25mm) male adapter. (either a cable or jack adapter like the Headphone adapter you are using). I search around and could not find a Cable, but the adapter jacks are available. It might be worth it to invest in a decent Microphone like a Shure SM58 and XLR to XLR mic cable.

but you will need an XLR to 1/4 inch adapter.

    like this.

    Thanks Blindeddie.

I finallly bought an sm58 with the câble you mentioned and it works fine.

Though the adapter was the cause as you suggested.
