Is it possible to correct the 2 seconds delay when using AirPlay?

When using Airplay there is a default delay of 2 seconds, can this be corrected or removed? Thank you.

    I'm afraid not... without knowing for sure, my intuition tells me that this delay is of the airplay protocol itself and Apple allows few options to modify the parameters of the same.
