Wonder if the windows will be resizable?

    I suspect YES!

    Lower down it also says:

Plus multiple NATIVE INSTRUMENTS & IZOTOPE products coming to FOREVER 29 soon. Stay tuned!

Very interested to see if this is the more modern NI plugins or the things I would view as legacy. Hopefully sooner in May than later!

There's a continuing welcome sale at PA at the moment, so not expecting more on this for a few days (happy to be wrong!)

As I've said in past thread.. one of the most valuable core assets of NI is raw samples.

The manual labor to record this samples is expensive to re-do.

Smart business strategy to develop powerful new software to re-visit these existing samples with machine learning technology that ushers in all the features we've been clamoring for with clean modern code.

What's going on here with PA might be similar to what's happening with Cinesamples/Musio.

Leapfrogging Kontakt to offer an alternative path to core assets of high quality samples.

But this PA approach would be within the blessing of Soundwide and have the combined developer power and investment dollars of Soundwide.

Throw in the machine learning expertise of iZotope and wow! Super fast analysis of the spectral and time domain signatures of all these samples! Revisit these samples with modern software tools and present in modern GUI!

I would say this is probably something extremely basic and rudimentary, playing samples from Expansions.

I would love something like XO or Waves Cosmos, but tied to Komplete Kontrol and Maschine. What Sounds.com should have been. Navigate your existing sample folders, use AI and frequency analysis to auto-categorize and group samples, and then export to your DAW or Maschine project. There should be enough expertise between iZotope and Brainworx to be able to do this, and it's a huge gap in the NI portfolio. We shall see.

Sometimes less is more. Especially if the fundamentals are good.

I admit that an auto-tag system in maschine and kk would be really nice

In this day and age, it is essential that this ability be added.

This should have been a huge development push 3-4 years ago.

3-4 years ago CPUs were much weaker and no AI hw acceleration commonly available... One must develop something that is usable for most target users. In case of NI anythin starting few years old i5 notebook. Or maybe even Atom in Maschine Plus....

It may surprise you, but main userbase is Win x86, not Apple M1... So, SW must run acceptably on main platform. It is nice M1 has AI acceleration, but from NI perspective it is possibly nice feature that might be used as soon as x86 adopt it in acceptable percentage of computers....

Give it 3-5 more years to come....

Maybe, but the software I referenced is doing it today, on x86. I can't really see what a new sample manager would bring to the table otherwise. Loopcloud is another option; I think they do the analysis in the cloud, then return it to the desktop plug in. Remember, it only has to be done when new samples are added to the library, so you just go take a break and come back in an hour. What's the point of acquiring AI/ML specialists iZotope if not to leverage their tech in the core NI platforms?

NI already uses AI in its product for several years, so they have to have at least 5+ years of experience in AI/ML.

So, the reason, they do not use it more is more on the side of user's HW than not-ability to do it.

I was not refering just to automatic tagging of samples, but also to other uses of AI/ML in sound crunching.

Even if MEGA Sample from PA does not have AI/ML auto-tagging...

If it has a resizable GUI and is M1 native... that's enough right there for me to explore from Day 1 release.

I am looking forward to reading your report. I would appreciate resizable GUI. If it allows to make it smaller than KK, which is too large, I will give it try.
