S88 MK3 Drivers and Firmware Update.

I got my S88 MK3 today. Like others have mentioned in other posts I have trouble updating the firmware. I tried everything. It seems like Windows cannot find the driver for "KONTROL S88 MK3 DFU".
Where can I find that to install it or is it supposed to be in Other devices in Device Manager and to have yellow exclamation mark?
P.S. I didn't realized this but what I have tried so far:
1) Different ports both USB-C and USB-A.
2) Different cables.
3) Different power supplies.
4) Different computers with Windows 10 and Windows 11 all with latest updates. Tried before updating too.
5) Power cycling 5 times and getting into recovery.
6) Going through a USB Hub.
7) Removing old MK1/MK2 drivers.
8) Reinstalling Komplete Kontrol and Hardware Connection Service.
I always get the "failed to boot into firmware update mode..." message.
P.P.S.
I got my keyboard from Thomann but I'm still waiting for their reply what to do. I was really looking forward for this release since the rumors started last year. After going through terrible purchases of Roli Lumi Keys and Ableton Push 3 and waiting for months for that final replacement that will finally work or not break into pieces I was hoping that at least Native Instruments will manage to provide a working product from the first time.....

I tried reinstalling a lot of things few more times. I noticed in Device Manager there are some NI drivers but there is hardware id mismatch with the devices that are attached. Someone mentioned in another thread that there is Generic Microsoft Driver. I think this is the correct one but it's only for the keyboard in Keyboard Mode because of most MIDI devices being "class compliant" and have to be supported by everything. When it is switched to Update Mode by the Firmware updater I noticed the following thing:

I DID IT!!!
!!! WARNING !!!
!!!DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
I followed this guide to disable Windows Driver Signature checking.
I copied the driver folder C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERSTORE\FILEREPOSITORY\NIKKSM3DFU.INF_AMD64_77E60AB000533825 to a new folder. For example C:\MyEditedDrivers\S88MK3Fixed\
I opened nikksm3dfu.inf.
I changed "%nikksm3dfu.88.DeviceDesc%=nikksm3dfu_Device, usb\vid_17cc&pid_2120&mi_04, usb\vid_17cc&pid_2132" to "%nikksm3dfu.88.DeviceDesc%=nikksm3dfu_Device, usb\vid_17cc&pid_2120&mi_04, usb\vid_17cc&pid_2122"
In device manager I clicked Update Driver. I selected "Browse My Computer for drivers" and selected the previous folder. In the example above C:\MyEditedDrivers\S88MK3Fixed\. I accepted the warning that the driver is not signed and is dangerous.
I run the Firmware updater and I have the latest firmware now!!!
Too bad I didn't figured out this 2 days ago and wasted time on buying power supplies, more usb-c cables, endless reinstalls of everything, installing native access on multiple computers and trying probably 100 times before that.

I have the same problem

Quickest fix over this initial firmware update hump may be to use a mac if you (or a good friend) has one handy.
Otherwise, it might take a wait for a software solution from NI.

Probably you might as well just contact customer support , but for what it is worth then here are the links to the trouble shooting guides :

Yes, I have tried everything. The only thing I have not tried is reinstalling the drivers but I didn't find them anywhere.

From what I have understood then the drivers are installed by the Native Access app or through the N.A. app downloads : 'How to set up your Kontrol S-Series MK3'

Yes. That's what I understood too. But in one of the guides (probably for mk2) it was advised to check device manager if all devices are working properly. I tried reinstalling everything from Native Access as I tried to explain in my original post. I guess I only have to wait for now.

Congrats @FlipBit
Unfortunately I am not as experienced as you... so I have some questions and hope you don't mind:
"I followed this guide to disable Windows Driver Signature checking."
What guide are you referring too?
"I opened nikksm3dfu.inf."
How did you do that? I can't even find this file.

YES!
You saved my day.
I have my s88 a week and couldn't update the firmware.
I went through all the steps you described, countless hours of uninstalling, reinstalling, a bunch of new cables, adapters, and hubs on 3 different computers. Support just directed me to the firmware update issues page. I finally gave up this weekend and was ready to return it to the dealer today.
I was checking for any news on this and read your post. So I unpacked it again to give it a try. And it worked!
Thanks for letting us know how you solved it. I will update my support ticket with this information.
Thanks again!

I just wanted to login in this forum to thank you for your detailed process. It worked for me also following all you steps.

If it might help someone, I posted a couple of follow up tips over at VI-Control:
If you still can't successfully update the firmware using the workaround above, it might be because you have multiple device entries for your Sxx MK3 in Device Manager. To correct this:
1. Disconnect the Sxx MK3 from your system
2. Restart Windows
3. Open Device Manager
4. Enable "Show Hidden Devices" in Device Manager
5. Completely remove all instances of the Sxx MK3 from Device Manager
6. Restart Windows again
7. Open Device Manager
8. Connect the Sxx MK3 to your system
9. Choose the unsigned version of the driver when prompted by Device Manager
Now that you have successfully updated the firmware, repeat the steps above and reinstall your Sxx MK3 with the signed version of the driver (just in case the unsigned version won't trigger future driver updates or support future firmware updates).
